My little man is growing up fast. He is already rolling over, and eating solid food and flirting with the girls!
We had a gathering of my antenatal group at my friend Ally's house and all the babies were playing on a blanket surrounded by cushions. Smiler was next to Ally's daughter Clara and they were quite taken with each other. I got out my camera just in time to capture this:
Aren't they cute? What a lucky boy to have such a pretty girl give him his first kiss!
Ally had made a lovely sensory play area with plenty of noisy textured objects that the babies just loved. I couldn't believe how much they had all changed since they were born.
This is Jake sitting up with a big smile and lovely new shoes on. He was the oldest of the babies there.
This is Olivia who despite her jetlag (they just returned from holiday) was anything but tired!
Thomas looking very cute in his tractor overalls.
This was Evie with her Mum Fiona. I tried very hard to get her to look at me but she was having none of it!
And not forgetting the lovely Clara...
Honestly - they were all so incredibly cute I could have photographed them all afternoon. Here they are playing together.
We also managed a group shot of all of them which wasn't easy. Jenny starting ringing a bell making them look up while the rest of us snapped photos. This was the best of the ones I took
It was so nice to see everyone again as we hadn't met up in a while. It is great to be able to swap stories with the other Mummies and compare notes. Teething and weaning are the topics of the moment as they are all at that stage. Some have a tooth (or two) and all of them are starting to eat solids.
I am trying not to get too stressed about food this time around. With Sweet-Pea, I remember getting very frustrated when she wouldn't eat my lovingly prepared pureed vegetables and fruit. That said, once she was able to take lumpier food, she ate more regularly. Once she went to nursery, she had a hot meal mid-day so if she didn't eat a load of dinner, I knew she had been fed well earlier and didn't worry about it.
As for teeth, poor Smiler has a telltale lump where I suspect his first tooth is planning to appear. Sweet-Pea got her first tooth at seven and a half months so if Smiler follows suit - I should be having a rough few weeks coming up!
But in this picture - he isn't thinking about his teeth. He's just thinking about the pretty girl who gave him his first kiss.
